Annual Joy of Christmas Musical Program at Minetto United Methodist Church

Minetto United Methodist Church will present its annual Joy of Christmas vocal and instrumental music program on December 15, at 3:30 p.m.

The concert will include music by the Oswego County New Horizons Band, conducted by Frank Bickel and the New Horizons Chorus, directed by Mary Lou Carpenter-Bjorkman and accompanied by Sue Maxwell.

A new musical group, The Stylists, a group of women who sing in barbershop harmony, will perform under the direction of Dan Williams.

Also performing will be a saxophone quintet, the Sounds of Brass, Concinnity, a select women’s vocal ensemble, and the Joy of Christmas Chorus.

There will also be audience participation in singing well-known Christmas carols.

An offering will be used to purchase gifts for children at the Minetto Elementary School.

The musical program will be followed by a roast pork dinner.

Reservations for the dinner are required and may be made by calling 342-2889 by December 9.

A collection shed has recently been placed in the parking lot at the back of the church for usable clothing items that can be recycled for people in need.

Acceptable items include: all clothing, shoes, sneakers, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, drapes, and stuffed toys.

The building is fully accessible and is located at the corner of State Route 48 and County Route 8, one block south of the Stewarts Shop, midway between Oswego and Fulton, in the village of Minetto.
