“The support we were given from our local community and businesses for this event was overwhelming,” said Heathe Jones, marketing and development manager for Oswego Industries. “The beautiful weather was certainly a plus as well.”

Arc of Oswego County board members were also there supporting this year’s tournament.

Arc of Oswego County is Oswego Industries’ sister agency and provides services to children and seniors living with disabilities. Together Arc of Oswego County and Oswego Industries serve hundreds of families and people in Oswego County each year.

Some other highlights of the day were the different games each team of players met along the way.

Each year, players at the Disability Hole are required to tee off while simulating a disability.

The challenge changes each year, and is a closely guarded secret up until the day of the tournament.

This year’s Disability Hole was sponsored by Pathfinder Bank and had players teeing off while sitting in a wheelchair.

New to the event this year, were refreshment stations set along the course.

This year’s refreshment stations were sponsored by NBT.

Some additional sponsors for the event included: Key Bank, The Bonadio Group, Relph Benefit Advisors, Fulton Savings Bank, Fulton Afternoon Rotary, In Vogue Salon and Spa, Man in the Moon Candies, Dental Health Solutions, Eastern Shores Associates, Bistro 197, Mama Gina’s, Uniforms Ect, Mitchell’s Speedway Press and Dixon Golf.

Immediately following play was a celebratory dinner reception and awards ceremony that was catered by Brenda Fletcher.

Oswego Industries CEO Mike Szpak extended his appreciation to all of the golfers, sponsors, host Griffins Greens Golf Club, as well as the Golf Tournament Committee.

“Thank you to everyone that was able to participate and support our ninth annual golf tournament. The support given by community members like you, make a huge impact for the population that our agency serves. We look forward to seeing you all next year!” he said.
