The cost will be $300 per team, but individuals may register and be placed on a team for $100.

The format will be captain-and-crew, typically with teams of four players each.

Though we encourage teams of four players, entrants may include individuals, pairs, and full teams.

We encourage couples and all women teams, too.

Registration will be at 7:30 a.m. and tee off time at 8 a.m.

Various team prizes and several door prizes also will be awarded.

There will be coffee, snacks and a full chicken dinner, which will be served to conclude the tournament.

That entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, snacks, skill games and the chicken dinner. In addition, skins, packets of mulligans and strings will be available for purchase.

Interested parties should contact Gay Williams at Oswego Opera Theater, P.O. Box 3039, Oswego, NY 13126 or [email protected]

Registration is requested by June 1.

Checks should be made payable to Oswego Opera Theater.

Anyone who wishes to sponsor a team, a tee sign or a door prize may also contact Williams.

For the past five years, opera supporters and golfers have said that the Oswego Opera Theater Golf Tournament is one of the highlights of the summer season.

So far, we’ve had beautiful weather, beautiful grounds and fine food.

“Who knows,” said a board member, “maybe this year we’ll hear an operatic aria somewhere on the course. I wouldn’t be surprised; this tournament brings out the best in all of us.”
