Music, art, painting and pancakes are on the agenda for a day of family fun and music August 31 from 10 a.m. until dark.
Wooden-Apple Farmstead and CNY Arts Center are teaming up to present local musicians and art at Wooden Apple Farmstead in Palermo.
A songwriting contest held the evening before at 7 p.m. on August 30 will spotlight original music and prizes for the winning participant.
The second annual Music Festival will feature recording artists and musicians including Gina Holsopple, Christopher Battles and Canvas Moon Band who played at a recent CNY Arts Center concert in Fulton.
Other musicians onstage include Butter Side Down, Michael Beshures, Shane Ammering, Donna Dennihy and more.
The Saturday night songwriting contest is a new addition this year with a monetary prize for the winner who will also kick off the Sunday Music Festival with their winning song. Gina Holsopple and Brett Hobin will choose the winner along with audience votes.

The family-friendly event also features a $5 pancake breakfast starting at 9 a.m. on August 31.
The fun mural painting returns with plenty of fresh air and artistic influence. Selected artists will display handmade original art and crafts for sale. The festival will also include storytelling and an open mic, so bring your instrument and add your name to the list.
Wooden-Apple Farmstead is a short drive from Fulton and Oswego in Palermo at 1489 County Route 4.
Festival attendees should bring your own food and drink for this family-friendly event with a $7 suggested donation for adults.
There will be a grill for anyone who wants to cook out.
Bring a lawn chair, bring a blanket, bring a friend, but most importantly don’t miss this day of music and family fun.
