“Fall into Music”, a dance to benefit Hannibal Music Boosters, will take place on Saturday, October 8th, from 8-11 P.M. at Lakeview Lanes, Fulton. Admission is free.
There will be raffles for gift baskets, 50/50 drawings, and prize boards, as well as some contests for added fun. This dance is for community members of all ages.
“Anybody’s Guess” is donating their talent for the evening. The band is based in Hannibal and has long standing ties to the Hannibal Central School Music Program.
Forty years ago, Jack Beckwith introduced his band “Anticipation” to the Central NY party scene. “Anticipation” had a successful 13+ year run of wedding receptions, private parties, club venues and corporate dinner dances. Music took a back seat until 2010, when Beckwith decided the time had come to renew his love of musical entertaining. He organized the group “ANYBODY’S GUESS”. In addition to voice, Jack plays bass guitar, 6 string, and trumpet. Lead guitarist Frank Tyrrell, has played and sung with the best in country music in and around NY State; and drummer Mike Solowy never misses an opportunity to make music with his set, on the congas, and other percussion instruments. Jack’s wife, Faye (Scott), fills in with vocals & keyboards to round out the quartet.
Jack, Faye & Mike learned an appreciation and love of music from George Tripp and Lyndon Schuldt, who both taught at Hannibal Central School and were accomplished professional musicians in their own right. Fast forward to 2011 and you will find that Jack & Faye have grandchildren participating in the music program at Hannibal Central School. Tyrrell hails from Mexico, NY and resides in Fulton. Frank and Jack have written several original pieces, and they cover an eclectic mix of oldies, rock ‘n’ roll and country music (both old & new). Their music is easy to listen to, fun to dance to, and bound to please audiences of all ages.
“We look forward to a great evening of music and fun at Lakeview Lanes. We thank Mike Tryniski for donating the use of their party room for this event.” said a Music Boosters spokesperson. “We truly appreciate that “Anybody’s Guess” came to us offering to help out with a fund raiser to benefit music programs in Hannibal schools. They are proof that the love of music lasts a lifetime.”
