APW Archers Compete in State Tournament


PARISH – The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Archery team competed at the New York State National Archery in the School Program tournament.

More than 236 high school students took part in the tournament from all across the state.

Final overall high school results of the APW students were: Parker Froats – 42nd; Jaidin DeGraw – 74th; Olivia DeGraw – 80th; Audrey DeGraw – 83rd; Alexis Metott – 92nd; Paige Metott – 95th and Maggie Grosvent – 98th.

The team is coached by George Parker.

The National Archery in the School Program is a cooperative effort between state conservation departments, school districts and private organizations to engage young people in outdoor activities and participate in the sport of archery.
