The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District has expanded the Universal Pre-Kindergarten programs they will offer for the 2015-16 school year.
In addition to two half-day UPK sections, a full-day Pre-K program will be added for those students who do not necessarily fall into the guidelines for the UPK program, but who are not quite ready for kindergarten.
Students who are being registered for the new full-day program will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on age and other factors.
The full-day Pre-K program has 20 spots available.
If more than 20 applications are received, a lottery system will be used to fill the available spaces.
The deadline for applying is June 15.
Parents or guardians are encouraged to call the elementary school at 625-5260 for specific questions regarding the Pre-K or UPK programs and their child’s eligibility.
