Sponsored by the Parent/Teacher/Student Association, the annual event draws a large crowd to enjoy the free evening of dancing and refreshments for students.

Tables were set up and the gymnasium was decorated with snowflakes and lights to set the mood for the dance.

A DJ was on hand to “spin” all of the students’ favorite dance tunes and even took requests.

The event provides a perfect opportunity for students to get dressed up and get out to dance and move during the colder and oftentimes less active time of the year for students.

There was plenty of time for moving during the ball with lots of high energy, high tempo songs for the students to move to including the ever-popular “Casper Slide,” “Electric Slide,” “Macarena” and many other dances.

In addition to the Snow Ball, the PTSA also sponsors a glow-in-the-dark dance for students in fourth through sixth grades at the school later this month.

For those looking to take a break from the festivities, refreshments, a photo backdrop and a quieter place to sit was available in the cafeteria adjacent to the gymnasium where the dance was taking place.
