The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District, in collaboration with local municipalities, school parent group organizations and the Oswego YMCA, has a unique opportunity to offer a fun and educational summer program for students currently in kindergarten through fourth grade within the district.
The summer program will span six weeks; it will begin on July 2 and run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Parish Elementary School.
The program will be integrated into the APW Extended School Year Program for the enrichment portion of the day and will include weekly themed-activities as well as arts, crafts, science and technology-related activities and a physical fitness component.
Transportation to and from the summer program is not available.
Parents will be responsible for transporting their son and/or daughter to and from the school for the duration of the program.
The program is limited to 60 students and because of this a strict attendance policy will be enforced.
Students registering for the program will be required to attend all six weeks of the program and are not allowed to miss more than three days without a legal written notice.
If a student misses more than three days, he/she may be excused from the program.
For more information about the summer program or for an application, contact APW Rebel Club Director Ashley Ackerman at 625-5279. Applications will be accepted through May 25.
