Area Residents Receive SUNY Cortland Part-Time Student Awards for Academic Achievement

CORTLAND, NY – The following local residents received the Part-Time Student Award for Academic Achievement from SUNY Cortland for the Fall 2011 semester.

Christopher Kinney, a senior Physical Education major from Parish, N.Y.

Timothy Masterson, a senior Health Education major from Pennellville, N.Y.

To earn the award, students must: have completed at least 12 credit hours of cumulative standard grade course work at SUNY Cortland; have a 3.3 cumulative grade point average; have a 3.3 grade point average for the semester; be enrolled at part-time status throughout the semester with a minimum of three credit hours of standard letter grade; and not receive an incomplete grade for the semester.

More than 7,300 students are pursuing degrees within the College’s 61 undergraduate and 33 graduate academic majors. SUNY Cortland is home to the largest undergraduate teacher education program in the Northeast.
