OSWEGO, NY – The annual ARISE and Ride for Ramps event will take place on May 30 at Lighthouse Lanes. The event offers something for the whole family: walk/run, motorcycle ride, bicycle ride, and great food.
The day will start at 10 a.m.with an exciting 5k run/walk that begins with a lap around the famous Oswego Speedway. Then the runners/walkers will be off to complete the 5k.
The motorcycles will depart at 10:30 a.m. for a great ride traveling east and then north with a return to Oswego. Riders will travel through some of the best views Oswego County has to offer.
As soon as the motorcycles leave we will prepare for the 11 a.m. family bicycle ride that will take place on the speedway. Parents will be able to share in the joy of cycling around the racetrack with their children, and the kids will have a blast riding on the speedway.
The day wouldn’t be complete without the fantastic chicken BBQ at Lighthouse Lanes. This year, we are offering a new drive-up service later in the day for those attending the races that evening.
There will be bounce houses and games for the kids. A new feature this year is the “cake wheel” with a lot of great baked goods and several surprise items.
This event offers a chance to come together and shine as a community to provide funding that will be used for ramps and home accessibility modifications so people are able to come home from rehab or the hospital.
Supporting ARISE and Ride for Ramps makes it possible for people with disabilities to return to their community and feel hopeful once again as they rejoin their families and live in dignity.
We hope that you’ll share this day with us.
Come be part of ”our” family and in turn let’s give independence to neighbor’s families.
Hope to see you on May 30 at Lighthouse Lanes and Oswego Speedway.
