FULTON – A longstanding tradition in the Fulton City School District continued May 20 as student artwork lined the halls of the Education Center for the annual district-wide art show.
To kick off this year’s exhibit, young artists and their families were welcomed to an opening reception, where they had an opportunity to explore student masterpieces and engage in conversation with art teachers.
The show is a districtwide collaboration that was designed to emphasize the importance of the arts in education, as it sparks creativity and promotes student engagement and teamwork.
The 2016 exhibit will be on display through early June and features more than 100 paintings, drawings, sculptures and other artistic mediums created by students from each school building.
The community can view the artwork during regular business hours Monday through Friday.
