FULTON – CNY Arts Center is seeking vendors for Fulton Festival of the Arts to be held August 12-14 in a weekend filled with art events.
The fifth annual Arts Festival will include many activities over the weekend with the Arts and Crafts show taking place August 13 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Fulton Community Center Ice Rink on Broadway.
The event brings artists and crafters together with handmade original art on display for sale along with food vendors, and hands on art.
“We’re paying great attention to the experience we’re offering our artists and vendors,” said Bill Grace, event coordinator. “This is our effort to give all artists a chance to be seen and share their work. We’ve planned incentives to enlarge the foot traffic as well as perks for being a vendor. We want the overall experience to be as special for the artists as we know it will be for festival attendees.”
New at this year’s event will be a woodworking station presented by Home Depot from 3 to 5 p.m.
Children will make a wood craft under the supervision of Home Depot experts.
The arts festival will also include outdoor painting, and a fun walk around the city bridges along with theatre performances and Jazz Fest at night. With Jazz Fest starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, the arts and crafts show will extend to 7 p.m. to accommodate Jazz Fest attendees.
Shoppers with an arts passport who visit each booth will have a chance at a drawing for a weekend getaway at Chase Lake Lodge in the Adirondacks, courtesy of McClellan Paint Company, as well as vendors will receive chances at gift basket just for participating.
Volunteers will be on hand to assist with load-in and load-out and to merchants a lunch break when needed..
Vendors can register for a 10×10 spot with electricity at the Festival. Food vendors are also actively sought.
