Artists As Heroes Sought For Benefit

FULTON, NY – What is a hero?  Good Samaritan, defender, liberator, protector, rescuer – Artist?

CNY Arts Center wants artists to explore that question through their art when the organization collaborates with the local Red Cross to present Heroes of the American Red Cross: Arts in Motion.

Heroes for the American Red Cross will be recognized while artists create a piece of art portraying the hero theme during the evening’s event.

Artists will have approximately one hour to complete their art which will then be auctioned to benefit the Red Cross and CNY Arts Center. Artists are also asked to donate a single piece of art from their collection to benefit the work.

Pathfinder Bank will sponsor the live art benefit presented by CNY Arts Center as part of the Red Cross Heroes Fundraising Campaign.

The evening will wrap-up the campaign period and recognize Hero participants for their fundraising efforts.

The event is open to the public and $10 tickets will be available at the door.

“We are grateful for the sponsorship of Pathfinder Bank and proud to support the vital role of the Red Cross in our communities,” said Nancy Fox, president of CNY Arts Center. “We’re eager to pair this with an opportunity to showcase the fine artists who live and work in those communities and excited to see the Hero theme come to life in a variety of art mediums. We anticipate a great evening for everyone.”

Artist space is limited but all arts are encouraged to participate.
