CNY Arts Center is looking forward to its first annual winter Arts Snow Day with a full slate of musicians and entertainment lined up. Scheduled for Jan 21, 10am-2pm at Fulton Alliance Church on Rte. 48S, the event will bring together a mix of musical styles and entertainment.
CRAZE, a spectacular local youth band will open the event with a half hour of lively music followed by two younger performers: 10 year old award-winning storyteller Justin Hatch, and singer Kaylee Foster who debuted with CNY Arts Center at Arts Fest on the River and sang recently at Fulton’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Christine Tupe will kick-off the second hour with her folksy sound and original music. Christine performed in last year’s Arts Fest Talent competition and tied for first place.
Sounds of Brass will follow with their bright and lively sounds. Fulton’s own popular ensemble has delighted audiences for several years and performs at venues throughout CNY.
Sean Martin makes his second appearance also for CNY Arts Center. Fourteen year old Sean is an accomplished fiddler and plays with a trio comprised of family members. Sean entertained crowds during CNY Arts Center Chicken BBQ last year.
Wrapping up the day will be a performance from Miss Norma Broderick’s Dance Students with a specially prepared number for the Arts Snow Day theme.
The event will also include a children’s carnival, art projects to make, celebrity storytellers and a poetry workshop, an art exhibit, snow sculpting contest and lots of hot foods and drinks. A blizzard backup date is scheduled for Jan 28th. For more information about the group or to register for the snow sculpture contest, visit www.CNYArtsCenter.com.
