FULTON, NY – A sizzling summer of Arty fun is well under way for children at CNY Arts Center’s fourth annual Arty Day Camp at the center, 357 State St.
In the first week of camp students received morning art and theatre classes with professionals followed by lunch, which was provided, then group activities and art projects.
CNY Arts Center is designated as a Summer Meal Site to offer free lunches to community children 18 and under during the weeks of ARTY Day Camp.
Children who attend the lunch are included in afternoon art projects at no charge.
Art project supplies are provided by a mini-grant from the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
Scholarships are available made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
Arty Day Camp’s second and final week will be August 11-15 with classes in art, dance and theatre with the same free lunch and afternoon art projects provided by grants and funding made available to CNY Arts Center for children of Central New York.
