Assembly Candidate Issues Statement on State Budget

Westmoreland, NY – George Joseph, candidate for the 115th Assembly District, issued the following statement regarding the irresponsible budget bills passed last night in Albany:

“Bad enough the State Budget is almost 90 days late, but Assembly and Senate Democrats have compounded the problem by passing a bad budget for the hardworking families and taxpayers of New York.

This budget is full of tax increases and over spending that we simply cannot afford.

Albany has once again shown how they are out of touch with the people of this state. As any business owner or hardworking family knows, you cannot spend money you don’t have. Albany has ignored this simple principle and further jeopardized the future of this great state.”

A graduate of SUNY Oswego, Joseph is owner of North Star Orchards in Westmoreland and a member of Oneida County Legislature. The 115th Assembly District includes parts of Oneida and Oswego Counties.
