AXA Day of Service Aids Oswego County Opportunities

FULTON, NY – Oswego County Opportunities recently benefited from the generosity of employees from AXA Advisors in Syracuse.

As part of AXA Advisors’ Day of Service AXA employees volunteered their time and worked on several projects at OCO’s Oswego Health Center, PATH House, and Discovery Early Learning Center. AXA’s Day of Service is an initiative of the AXA Foundation, which directs AXA’s philanthropic and volunteer activities.

Through Day of Service volunteer projects, AXA people across the United States make the generous gift of time and hands-on effort that supports the company’s strong commitment to corporate responsibility.

AXA branches nationwide organize team volunteer projects in their local communities that enable them to give back to the community and support a local nonprofit.

The idea to choose OCO came from the realization that the agency was in its 50th year of providing human services programs to Oswego County.

“We saw Oswego County Opportunities 50th anniversary as a way for AXA to say thank you for all that you do and the many people you serve throughout our community,” said AXA Financial Professional Carrie Penoyer. “From Head Start and OCO’s Senior Activity and Dining Centers to its Crisis and Development Services and Literacy Volunteers; OCO employees and volunteers provide compassionate, dignified assistance throughout Oswego County.”

“At AXA, we like to support those organizations that improve the quality of life in the communities where we work and live,” added AXA Financial Professional Lisa Miller. “We couldn’t think of a more deserving group to align with for our AXA Day of Service than OCO.”
