Baldwinsville Students Raise Money for Tornado Victims

When Sydney Aiello, eight years old from Baldwinsville heard about the recent tornado’s that had hit the southern states, her first reaction to her mom Natalie was “I want to do something to help the victims” Sydney and her friend Kaye Lawton decided to approach the principal of their school and ask if they could do a coin drive for the victims of the tornados.  Ten days later and a water jug full of coins and dollar bills, the two girls managed to raise $382.45. All money raised will benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help disaster victims.  This is what makes my job so rewarding, stated American Red Cross Branch Director Danielle Hayden.  They both did an amazing job!
