Ballroom Dance Lessons offered by H. Lee White Marine Museum

OSWEGO, NY- Step back in time and prepare for the last waltz of the RMS Titanic.

The H. Lee White Marine Museum invites community members to kick up their heels and improve their dance techniques by signing up for ballroom dance lessons.

Experienced dance instructors Steve and Tanna Olin, will lead classes March 29, April 5 and 12, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Oswego YMCA Armory.

Participants will learn waltzes and other related dance styles of the time period. A $30 fee per person includes all sessions.

“Everyone is welcome to take the lessons, but they are also great preparation for the Marine Museum’s culminating gala: A Titanic Affair, to be held on April 14.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the Affair will feature a re-creation of the first class dinner, dancing, music and an historic account of that fateful evening,” said museum executive director, Mercedes Niess.
