OSWEGO, NY – Barbara J. Knosp, 78, a resident of East Ninth Street in Oswego, passed away Saturday March 15, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Knosp was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Agnes (Dennie) Leinwand.
She was a life resident of the area.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Oswego County BOCES as a teaching assistant.
She was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and also enjoyed gardening and bowling.
She was very talented with knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.
She was a member of the Women of the Oswego Moose Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Bettie (Leo) Monette and Kelley Potter, both of Oswego; a son, Harold (Beth) Knosp of Fulton; a brother, Fred (Carol) LeMay of Oswego; a sister, Betty (Jim) Anderson of Oswego; seven grandchildren, Leigh Monette, Jeffrey Monette, Mark Monette, Deonne Beckwith, Larissa Potter, Travis Potter and Ryan Knosp; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her companion of 40 years, Bill Gardner; and a brother, Daniel LeMay.
Services will be private.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
