FULTON, NY – Barbara K. Reese Stanard, 70, of Volney, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 8, 2018.

A native of Niagara Falls, NY, she lived in Volney for 50 years.

She worked for State Farm Insurance, Jerry Stanard Agent and Oswego County Department of Social Services.

Barbara was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Volney and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She had served as NYS Republican Committeewoman representing Oswego County.

Barbara enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren, traveling and gardening.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jerry Stanard of Volney; children, Bryan (Jeanette) Stanard and Kerrie (Paul) Stanard Phillips, all of Volney; grandchildren, Lane, Iz and Bryana; siblings, Marjorie Gray of Brunswick, Ohio, Robert Reese of Youngstown, NY, and James Reese of Fleetville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 12, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Volney, in the spring.

Memorial contributions are encouraged to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126 or to Lakeside Heart Center, 177 W. Fourth St., Oswego, NY 13126.
