Basement Boutique to be Open During Bizarre Bazaar

The Basement Boutique will be open on Sat., Oct.. 2 during the Bizarre Bazaar. The Boutique is a thrift shop in the basement of the First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., Fulton and is staffed by volunteers. All proceeds are used for church operations and community outreach.

Some organizations that have benefited are Michaud & Seneca Hill nursing homes, Donna’s Closet at Catholic Charities in Fulton, G. Ray Bodley’s 2008 Dress for the Cure Campaign, Syracuse Presbytery Refugee Program and the Thea Bowman House in Rochester.

The Bizarre Bazaar runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will feature crafters and vendors, and will offer lunch at the First United Café. Also the church’s cookbook will be available for sale the day of the bazaar. It has been in the works for over 2 years, and is a collection of recipes from church members and their friends.
