Betty J. DeGelorm, 80


FULTON, NY – Betty Jane (Howe) DeGelorm, 80 of Fulton, loving mother, grandmother and sister was peacefully called home to be with her parents, brothers, sister and daughter on Saturday May 19, 2012, at Michaud Residential Health Services where she had adopted the staff as her extended family.

A native of Syracuse, she had resided in Fulton most of her life.

Her children and grandchildren filled her life with joy and happiness, but Betty was happiest bringing joy to others.

Betty will be greatly missed by those lives that she touched.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Pearl (Plopper) Howe and was predeceased by her daughter, Debbie Edwards; and siblings, Thomas, Harold, Phillip, Edward and James Howe and Sarah Stanski.

Surviving are her children, Sandy Patrick of Fulton, Nicholas (Patti) DeGelorm III of Fulton and Raymond “Skip” Howe of Oswego; grandchildren, Wayne Devendorf, Randy and Katrina Patrick, Robert, Anthony and Bella DeGelorm, David and Daniel Edwards, Corrine, Ryan, Timothy and Samantha Howe and Jessica Howe Ormsby; eight great grandchildren; her former husband, Nicholas DeGelorm Jr. of North Syracuse; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Howe of Lacona; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.

Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Volney.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
