Betty LaRock Diefenbacher DuBois, 81

FULTON, NY – Betty DuBois, 81, of Minetto, passed away suddenly Saturday August 16, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Fulton, Betty had lived in the Fulton and Minetto areas.

She retired from the Minetto Post Office after many years.

She had also worked at CCA, Sealright and for local construction companies.

She was a member of Fulton Elks and Moose clubs and was a life member of Fulton V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

Betty was a hardworking woman that took pride in her gardening, enjoyed being outside with the hummingbirds and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Arlene MacDonald and Helen Maxam.

Betty will be greatly missed and forever loved by her children, Cindy, Robert (Kelly), Charles, David, Michael, Lori and Irene; siblings, Roxanne Firenze, Robert LaRock, Patricia Teramiggi, Marion Lewis and David LaRock; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

  2. I only talked with her a few times but her Obituary and the comment by Amy were right on the mark,hardworking /helpfull/ and kind. The last I saw her (she was powerwashing and painting a section of fence) @ “81 yrs old”!. I was saddened by her passing. My condolences to her remainiing loved ones.

  3. I am so sorry to hear of Bettys passing. Living in Minetto for 18 years, we saw her everyday, usually riding on her lawn tractor. She was a kind and giving person.
