OSWEGO, NY – Betty M. Pearce, 86, a former resident of 7992 Route 104 West, in the Town of Oswego, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, at the Pontiac Nursing Home.
Mrs. Pearce was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Daniel and Marie (Schultz) Connors.
She was a graduate of SUNY-Oswego, from which she received a masterÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s degree.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed, for many years, as a kindergarten teacher with the Baldwinsville School District.
Mrs. Pearce was a member of the University WomenÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Association, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was also a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oswego.
She was the wife of the late Burton E. Pearce, who died in 1992.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Pearce of Oswego; a sister, Carol (Harry) Carter of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert, Daniel, Donald, and Robert Connors; and a sister, Marjorie Preston.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27th, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
