Beverly F. Barry, 81, of Hannibal, died Monday. A native of Fair Haven, she was the daughter of the late Blanche and Harry Fowler. Beverly was a graduate of Fair Haven High School in 1944 and Syracuse University in 1948 where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. She worked for New York State, Collins and Simmons Trucking Company, the Barry family business and Browne and Davis Furniture. An avid gardener, people came from miles around to see her rose garden. Beverly was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and a loving mother and grandmother.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œJackÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â Barry in 1998; a brother, Harry Fowler in 1988 and two sisters, Clarissa Crangle in 2005 and Marilyn Wheeler in 2006. Surviving are her children, Jacqueline Turner of Cape Coral, FL; Timothy Barry of Camillus and Dennis (Eileen) Barry of Seneca Falls; grandsons, Trooper (Kristin) and Trevor Turner and great-grandson Totch Turner.
Calling hours are Friday, October 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal with burial at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
