OSWEGO – Citing the need to talk with voters directly, candidate for Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow announced a series of “Coffee with the Candidate” listening events.
The public is invited to stop and share their input and ideas on what the important issues facing the city.
“This is a critical point in time for our city. I want to meet with voters and share my ideas for tackling the important issues facing Oswego. The voters need to know what I stand for and how I plan to address the serious issues facing our community,” said Barlow. “Most importantly, I want to hear from our residents. The concerns, priorities and ideas of the residents should be the core issues of this election and I want to hear from as many taxpayers as I can. For the last several months, I’ve talked to folks all across our City in an effort to hear their concerns directly. The experience has been invaluable and I am more committed than ever to make a difference in our community.”
Barlow added that an informal discussion over complimentary coffee provides “a comfortable, welcoming setting” as residents are free to come and go as they please.
The coffee hours are scheduled as follows:
Saturday September 12 – Oswego Tea Company- 9 – 10 a.m. (157 E. First St.)
Saturday October 3 – The Office Tavern & Restaurant- 9 – 10 a.m. (11 W. Seneca St.)
Saturday October 10 – Taste of the World, Canal Commons – 9 – 10 a.m. (193 W. First St.)
