“We have seen an increase in the number of people who want to move and become a part of our Bishop’s Commons community and keep their pets with them,” said Julie Chetney, director of senior services. “The bonds between an owner and pet can be especially strong and we offer the opportunity to retain that friendship, even when making other lifestyle changes, like choosing to relocate.”

While always welcoming to visiting pets, Chetney acknowledged this new option at Bishop’s Commons is really about consumer demand and accommodating changing preferences.

Chetney added, “As a senior living community with eighteen years of experience, we recognize that expectations change and we are continually evolving to tailor our lifestyle options and services to better meet the needs and desires of our residents. Our new pet friendly policy is one such enhancement.”

Those wishing to arrange a tour of Bishop’s Commons or to explore taking advantage of the pet friendly lifestyle can call Chetney at 315-349-0799.
