OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Hospital is asking residents to kick off their Labor Day weekend early by helping others and donating a pint of blood.
The hospital will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 30 in the healthcare facility’s lower level conference room.
Members of the public are encouraged to donate a pint of blood during the drive.
The American Red Cross is reporting that donations are down more than 10 percent across the country resulting in 50,000 fewer pints of blood than expected.
By donating one pint of blood, an individual can potentially save up to three lives.
To make an appointment, call 349-5586.
Walk-ins are also welcome to donate blood.
