Blood Drives in the New Year.

Looking for a New Years resolution that will help others and give you great personal satisfaction? Why not establish a regular routine of giving blood?  Each time an individual gives blood it has the capability of helping three people in need of lifesaving blood and blood products.  Imagine the personal satisfaction of knowing that every 56 days you provided a lifesaving donation that possibly saved three lives.  That is an incredibly personally rewarding resolution.

On Wednesday, January 4th we will be having our blood drive at Believers Chapel in Fulton from 11:30am-5:30pm. The January 25th drive will be held from 11:30am – 5:30pm. at the Oswego Elks Club on West Bridge and 5th Street. We will also have a drive at the Oswego Alliance Church, 371 Thompson Road, on January 31st from 12:30pm-5:30pm. For more information on blood drives in Oswego County, you can check our website at

January is National Blood Donor Month, in honor of this Dunkin Donuts has partnered with the American Red Cross with the “Pounds for Pints” promotion where each blood donor receives a coupon for a pound of coffee when they give blood in the month of January.  This promotion will be at all blood drives in the month of January.

As an added incentive, for both of these blood drives, Cam’s Pizza in Oswego has partnered with the Red Cross to provide each donor with the coupon for a 12” cheese pizza when they give blood at either drive.
