The truck comes from St. Louis, Mo., and according to CDL A and B class Room and Road Instructor Kenneth Koegel, it meets the needs of the course and the trucking industry today.

The new vehicle is equipped with the latest technology and replaces a 1995 International model.

CDL students receive 160 hours of training; 65 hours of road time and 95 hours of class room training before they can qualify for a New York CDL A license and for pre-hire opportunities with Swift Transportation Co., Werner Enterprises Inc. or TMC Transportation, a flatbed trucking company.
