BOCES Student Enters ‘Best Day Ever’ Magazine Cover Contest

Lyrick Cason, an Oswego County BOCES student with the Stepping Stones Day Program was recognized by a national publishing company for her original artwork submission for a kids magazine cover contest. Cason created a mixed media piece using pencil, colored pencils, and water paints for the 13th Annual Jack and Jill Magazine Cover Contest. Given the theme 'Your Best Day Ever' as the guiding inspiration for this year's contest, Cason created an original drawing of her best day, herself as the first female United States President. The cover contest is designed to encourage young students' creativity and love of art and the publishing company will award donations of up to $1,500 to the winning student's school art program. Winners will be notified by the end of the month.
