FULTON – Numerous occupations were represented at G. Ray Bodley’s Second Annual Career Day, where students had the opportunity to explore career options and speak with professionals in the field.
Representatives from all fields such as health, government and business gave presentations on what a typical day looks like for them.
Each shared why they chose their field and the education and training they went through to achieve their position.
Some of the businesses present at the event were: Burnett Park Zoo, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Fulton City Fire Department, NYS Police, Fulton Savings Bank, Novelis, News Channel 9, Huhtamaki, King & King Architects, Hair We Are Salon, WOLF Radio, Stability Fitness, Mannion & Copani Law Firm, Oswego Health and more.
Students were able to experience four different career presentations of their interest throughout the day.
In addition to discussing their field, career representatives also spoke about the kinds of things their employer looks for in an employee: a hard worker, good communication skills, timeliness, dependability, attitude, ethics, continuing education and more.
