Jessica Bomgren is the American Red Cross of Central New York – Oswego Branch Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for June. She has been a volunteer with the Red Cross since April 2011. She was initially drawn to the Red Cross for her desire to help out in her local community. She wanted to build on some of her skills and she knew she could accomplish that by volunteering.
In the couple of months Jessica has been volunteering she has helped the staff with any office projects that have been going on, she has also filled in at the reception desk answering phones and assisting people who walk into the office.
The most rewarding aspect of working with the Red Cross for Jessica is to have the opportunity to give back and make a difference. She has been able to see how the community can come together and help out when there are disasters.
Jessica would strongly encourage others to volunteer with the Red Cross so they can actually see and experience all the many different ways the Red Cross can help and assist in our community.
Jessica is from Fulton NY and has worked as a Home Health Aide, she has volunteered at her local high school and also volunteered at a nursing home. Jessica has just recently taken a job with the Red Cross as a Phlebotomist. We are very excited for her.. Congratulations Jessica!!!
For Jessica’s commitment to both the American Red Cross and volunteering, she will receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card as a token of appreciation for her efforts.
The Volunteer of the Month is sponsored byt Dunkin Donuts, which was generously provided the Red Cross with gift cards.
