OSWEGO, NY – Bonnie L. McRae, 70, of Oswego, passed away Tuesday evening November 11, 2014, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Oswego on November 4, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys France Nearbin.
She was raised and educated locally.
On December 8, 1984, she was married to Lawrence McRae.
Bonnie held many positions in her life, but her greatest accomplishment was that of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Larry McRae of Oswego; her daughters, Alice (Mike) Szymanski of Granby, Kellie Thompson of Oswego and Ashley (Jason) Goodwin of Oswego; her sons, Joseph Thompson and Leonard Preeman both of Oswego; three sisters, Betty (Elmore) Miller of Palermo, Jackie Ponzi of Oswego and Gladys (Ed) Woodward of Oswego; three stepchildren, Theresa (Neil) Cliff of Oswego, Lawrence (Pam) McRae of Oswego and Tammy Brashier of Texas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. McRae was predeceased by a stepson, Mark McRae; four sisters, Sally Matott, Mary Gioia, Joan Greeney and Shirley Thompson.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held Friday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
