Preparations are underway for a Holiday Bazaar Craft Show and Bake Sale to be held Friday and Saturday, December 4 and 5th at Bowens Corners United Methodist Church. Proceeds from this annual event are used to offset the expenses and programs of the church, which is located at 758 State Route 176, 3.5 miles west of Fulton. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Handcrafted items created by members and friends of the church will include sewing projects, embroidery, crocheted and knitted items, Christmas ornaments, and much more. In addition, items in the Wood Shoppe provide useful and interesting additions to home decoration.

Members of the ASA Circle of Bowen's Corners UM Church who met recently to plan for their annual bazaar include, front left to right, Bea Welch, Pastor Jill Magnuson, Betty Vaughn. Standing are Faye Besaw, Barb Nastasi, Belva Beck, Jennie Saunders, Bev Hinshaw, Wilma Ware and Ruth Stowell.

The Candy Shoppe will return this year along with a large table of home baked goods.

Treasures from Granny’s Attic will provide an array of bargains with the emphasis on the upcoming holidays. Additionally, cutlery and greeting cards will be available.

Throughout the day, lunch will be served featuring homemade soups, chili, sandwiches, desserts and beverages.

Members of ASA Circle, who are coordinating the event, describe it as an excellent holiday gift shopping opportunity. There is no admission charge.
