FULTON, NY – There will be a chicken dinner benefit on Sept. 26 at the Fulton Polish Home. The hours will be from noon until 5 p.m.
The event will benefit Brayden Douglas Munger.
On June 5, 2015, 3-year-old Brayden of Minetto was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
On June 9, he had a successful surgery, adding a chemotherapy port into his side to administer chemotherapy treatments both through his port as well as a chemo push through a spinal tap.
He also had a bone marrow extraction and a spinal tap to check to see if the cancer had spread.
Brayden is now home with his father and mother, Doug and Cassi (Bracy) Munger, and his two big brothers, Zach and Ethan.
He will make weekly trips for the next three months, to Golisano Children’s hospital in Syracuse, for treatments and will continue to go to Golisano Children’s Hospital monthly for the next three years for treatments.
The benefit will feature chicken dinners Fricken Chicken. Other activities will include raffles, a bake sale, ice cream, door prizes, 50-50, live entertainment by Alan France, T-shirts, children’s activities and much more.
All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Brayden’s family, to ease the cost of treatment, travel and any time off work his parent may need.
Every day is a day closer to getting Brayden healthy.
Along with his many family and friends, two of Brayden’s biggest supporters are his older brothers, Zach and Ethan.
It may be a struggle at times but he will never be in this fight alone. In Brayden’s words, “We weady!”
