Breast Cancer Survivor Shares Her Story

FULTON, NY – At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Tess Kenney, associate executive director of the Fulton Family YMCA,  shared her story as a breast cancer survivor, YMCA breast cancer coordinator and cancer advocate for support, care and understanding.

Since her diagnosis she has been very active in bringing about awareness and conversation about cancer and how the diagnosis changes lives forever.

Laurie’s Hope, a Breast Cancer Support Program is coming to the Fulton YMCA.

This program helps survivors maintain health and well-being as they begin their survivor journey.

Also The YMCA will provide the Livestrong program, a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic
health goals.
