BREWERTON, NY – In cooperation between the Empire State Dwarf Car Association (ESDCA) and track management, the weekly Mod Lite Racing program at Brewerton Speedway will be governed by the track beginning with the June 1 Nationwide Insurance sponsored race program.
All aspects of the program will now operate fully under the Brewerton Speedway banner.
This includes rules, regulations, tech inspection, rule enforcement and handicapping as well as points.
No changes to car specs are expected, including tires. This agreement also includes Mod Lite racing at Fulton Speedway where the class is included in seven racing events in 2012.
“We are appreciative of the efforts made over the years by the club (ESDCA) and its officers in helping to build this class, but we are at a point where we need to bring it under the same roof as all of our other classes,” Track Promoter Harvey Fink said, “This is another step in our efforts to streamline the various processes we go through to operate a race event each week. We expect this to be a simple and seamless transition.”
The Brewerton Mod Lites sponsored by Beaver River Distribution will join the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds, Nationwide IMCA Modifieds and the Anchor Bar Four-Cylinder Superstocks for an exciting racing program this Friday.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with racing on tap at 7:30 p.m. Adults are priced at just $12 with ages 18 and under admitted FREE.
