Brian H. Beckwith, 61, of Lakeland, Florida formerly of Hannibal died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL.
Born on September 1, 1949 to Harold and Louise Beckwith he was the youngest of five siblings.
Brian was an active member of the Hannibal Community Band. He had previously volunteered with the Hannibal Fire Department and the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego. Brian had retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation after over 20 years of service. He was awarded an honorary lifetime membership at the VFW Post 8002 in Lakeland, FL in recognition of the many hours he spent volunteering for the post.
Brian is predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Ronald Beckwith.
Surviving: children, Amy (Chris) Clark of Colorado Springs, CO. and Brian Beckwith of Syracuse; three grandsons; Josiah, Jonah and Noah Clark; two siblings, Nancy Smith of Lakeland, FL and Jack (Faye) Beckwith of Hannibal; several nieces and nephews.
Services are Saturday 10 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal. Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Calling hours are Friday 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal.
