The Oswego Varsity BoysÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ Golf Team won two more matches this weekÃ¢â‚¬â€beating Henninger on Tuesday at Brooklawn Public Golf Course, and overtaking Central Square on Wednesday at Greenview Golf Course.
OswegoÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s 183 total against Henninger was its lowest competitive match score in more than three years and included five sub- forty scores for the first time this season. Scott QuenvilleÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s one under round of 35 on the front nine at Brooklawn included two birdies, a bogey and seven pars. Also scoring in the match were fellow Bucs Alex Bush (36), Colin Joyce (37), Austin Tracz (37) and Corey Schuffenecker (38).
Quenville followed up his brilliant play on Tuesday with another sub-par round at Greenview Golf Course on Wednesday, touring the front nine in 35 strokes (one under par) and helping the team to a total of 199. These are the first consecutive under par rounds in ScottÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s career. Also competing and scoring in WednesdayÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s match against Central Square were Buc golfers Sam Lalonde (40), Corey Schuffenecker (41), Alec Kunzwiler (41),and Colin Joyce (42).
The Bucs are playing some of their best golf of the season right now, and will have to continue to play well as they take on league-leading Baldwinsville at home on Thursday.
