Eleven teams competed in the tournament that served as a fundraiser to benefit two of Catholic Charities’ most in-demand programs, the food pantry and CYO. The programs provide food for those in need and recreational and educational activities for area youth. The team from Woodchucks Saloon in Oswego finished in second place.

In addition to the funds raised by the tournament, Lee Victory, owner of Cheap Seats Sports Bar, donated 20 % of all food and beverage sales during the event to Catholic Charities of Oswego County.

“It was a great event,” said Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow. “I would like to thank Alliance Bank and Burritt Motors for sponsoring the event, Lee Victory of Cheap Seats for hosting it, and especially the players who competed in the tournament as well as their friends and family members who came to cheer them on. I also extend a special thank you to the winning team from Burritt Motors who donated $100 of their prize money back to Catholic Charities.”
