“I’m extremely proud of our whole team who worked so diligently in 2017 to earn this award, “Rich Burritt, owner, said. “Our team won this award last year, and it’s a testament to their consistent efforts to strive for a superior customer experience.”

According to Natalie Taylor, Chevrolet zone manager, “This award is a testament to the entire team’s dedication to making sure every touchpoint we have with our Chevrolet customers exceeds their expectations.”

The award is presented to Chevrolet dealers from across the country that achieve outstanding sales performance and customer satisfaction.

“The commitment that our Chevrolet dealers have made to deliver world class customer service is key to the brand’s overall success and continued growth,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet. “The Mark of Excellence Award is recognition for the Chevrolet dealers who have grown their sales and gone above and beyond to ensure their customers are truly satisfied. We sincerely appreciate and applaud their efforts. Winning dealers met or exceeded criteria for sales, customer service, and facility maintenance within their competitive groups, and set a leadership standard for the Chevrolet network.”

Burritt Motors’ history dates back to 1955 in Hannibal when Rich’s great-grandfather, Elmer O. Burritt, purchased a Chevrolet franchise that he operated until 1963. To expand in a larger market, Rich’s grandfather, Richard, purchased the assets of a Chevrolet dealership that had been located on Oswego’s East Third Street.

About a year later, he built the present dealership on Route 104, which underwent a $2.5 million expansion and renovation in 2013.

In 2017, the dealership acquired Shapiro Motors, and now also offers Chrysler, Dodge, RAM and Jeep brands.

A new Burritt Chrysler-Dodge-RAM-Jeep dealership will be built next to their current Chevrolet location, and is expected to be completed in late 2019.

Rich follows his father, Chris, who ran the business for 38 years.

The dealership celebrates its 63rd anniversary this year and can be reached at (315) 343-8948 or www.burrittmotors.com
