Ken’s Body Shop Celebrates 70 Years Of Getting Oswegonians Back On The Road

Ken's Body Shop, 5753 State Route 104 Oswego, NY 13126

OSWEGO – For most Oswego residents, snowy roads and running deer are as synonymous with our town as Lake Ontario and the Lighthouse.

Add in your everyday fender-benders, and you can rest assured, Oswego sees plenty of damaged vehicles. For the last 70 years the city has had an auto repair shop right nearby that prioritizes quality of work and customer service.

Ken’s Body Shop first opened their doors back on New Year’s Day, 1951. Since then, they’ve grown from a single building to a 17,000 sq. ft. facility with three buildings, 27 bays, and now repair over 2,000 vehicles annually.

Oswego native Ken Jones started the shop and made it his home – literally. He built his house on the same property and lived there with his family until he retired 31 years ago. His son, Jeff, has run the family business for the last 33 years and grown it exponentially during his tenure. Ken’s now offers a full-suite of automotive services, from detailing to brakes to oil changes, in addition to their renowned body work.

Despite such growth, Ken’s employees recognize that their quality of repairs and service has been the key to their success over the last seven decades and thus prioritize this quality above all else.

To that end, they’ve recently achieved collision repair certifications from many of the most popular vehicle manufacturers including Ford, General Motors, Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Kia & Hyundai, and as they always have, stand behind their work with a national lifetime warranty.

As everyone at Ken’s Body Shop celebrates their remarkable milestone, they look forward to the next 70 years and continuing to serve the community they call home. They would like to thank all of their customers, past and present, for their support over the years (especially this past year), and wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.
