OSWEGO, NY – Butch (Clarence) J. Hoyt, 66, a resident of the OÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢Connor Road in the Town of Scriba, passed away Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008, at Oswego Hospital.
Mr. Hoyt was born in Hastings, the son of the late Clarence and Florence (Westcott) Hoyt.
He had lived in the Oswego area for many years.
He was well-known as an excellent mechanic. He was employed, for more than 35 years, with Crouse Auto Service in Oswego.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Jason) Dunsmoor of Scriba, and Penny Hoyt of Chittenango; a son, Joseph Hoyt of Scriba; a brother, Delbert (Barbara) Hoyt of Hastings; two sisters, June Barnhart of Fulton, and Bertha Watson of Liverpool; three grandsons, Justin, Matt, and Joey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Hoyt; and two sisters, Jeanette Robinson and Joyce Huggins.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
