OSWEGO, NY – Members of the Prince of Peace Church in Fulton were honored with the Child Advocacy Center’s Volunteers of the Year Award at the agency’s annual meeting, held recently at The American Foundry in Oswego.
“The congregation at Prince of Peace Church is wonderful to us,” said CAC Executive Director Karrie Damm. “They reached out to us see if there was anything they could do to help our efforts. They have been gracious enough to provide us with snacks for the children, which we are always in need of.”
Additionally, Prince of Peace Church has opened its doors to the CAC offering a welcoming environment where families can reconcile.
“We are happy to help,” said Margaret Nichols of Prince of Peace Church. “We are grateful for the work the Child Advocacy Center does. The word that best describes it is love. They love the children they are seeing and we also love and pray for them as they do this important work. We are happy to be part of the team that supports the CAC and we will continue to do what can.”
