Calling All Actors: ‘Joseph’ Auditions Continue

Submitted by Rising Stars Children’s TheatreFULTON, NY – Fulton Community Theatre and Rising Stars Children’s Theatre have collectively sent out a call to local actors.

Auditions started Monday for Rising Stars’ coming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” The production will run from July 16-20 at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton. Rehearsals will begin in June.

Auditions will continue from 6-9 p.m., tonight and from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday with callbacks from 8-9:30 p.m. Auditions are being held at Jubilee Hall at Immaculate Conception Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton.

“Auditioners should come prepared to sing 16 bars from a musical theatre piece,” said Joe Clark, co-founder of Rising Stars. An accompanist will be provided, however, sheet music is required.

Artistic director/choreographer for the show will be Meghan Pearson. Musical director will be Shayne Knight. While it will be a Rising Stars production, “Joseph” is being presented in cooperation with Fulton Community Theatre. Proceeds will benefit both non-profit theatre groups.
