OSWEGO – The Oswego County Office for the Aging resumes its caregiver educational sessions in September. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon at the Oswego County Health Complex, 70 Bunner St.
Participants are asked to use the main entrance door and take the elevator to the second floor administrative conference room.
Each session consists of a short presentation about services available to the community followed by an informal discussion and question and answer session.
The classes are free and open to all caregivers in the community.
On Tuesday, September 18, Sara Sunday leads a discussion about insurance options for senior citizens.
The next program will be on Tuesday, October 16, and will feature a presentation about the ‘New York State Nursing Home Transition and Diversion Medicaid Waiver Program’ with Jeanine Wright.
The Office for the Aging provides information about programs and resources, consultation and referrals, self-care and support for caregivers.
