Carol Ann Haws, 82, of Fulton, died Thursday.
She was born in Fulton on October 10, 1928 to the late Floyd H. and Emma J. Palmer Cooper. Carol grew up in Hannibal and spent the winters in DeLand, FL. She attended Hannibal schools and graduated from high school in 1946 in DeLand. On June 3, 1948, Carol married Arthur F. Haws, together they operated a dairy farm in Granby for several years. In 1964 Carol became a Licensed Practical Nurse and went into the healthcare field. She was a member of the United Methodist Women of the Bowens Corners United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, who died October 23, 1987.
She is survived by her son, Lyle C. (Gayle) Haws of Elkhart, IN; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a special friend with whom she resided with for several years, Frederick G. Rumsey of Fulton.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ira Union Cemetery, White Cemetery Road, Ira. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.
